Keep Salesmen Off the School Bus!

Don't Force Schoolkids to Listen

to Ads

A new company called BusRadio plans to put radios with advertising on school buses. Every hour of programming will contain 8 minutes of ads.

BusRadio boasts that it will "take targeted student marketing to the next level." The ads will even target elementary school children as young as five.

In September, BusRadio wants to run their first pilot project in Massachusetts. But they’re thinking big. In September 2007, they plan to compel 1 million children to listen to ads when they ride school buses.

There are two obvious problems with BusRadio.

* It is wrong to force captive audiences of children to listen to advertising.
* Schools shouldn’t discourage children from doing homework on school buses.

Help us create a lot of static for BusRadio.

BusRadio is receiving its venture capital from Sigma & Partners.

Tell the managing partners of Sigma & Partners (Robert Davoli, Lawrence Finch, Gregory Gretsch, Clifford Haas, John Mandile, Mark Pine, Peter Solvik, Bob Spinner and Wade Woodson) not to invest in BusRadio or any other company that forces children to listen to advertising.

Your email will be sent to all the managing partners of Sigma & Partners.
